Owning a T-shirt store doesn’t mean I’m above entering a threadless challenge ^_^. This is my entry for the Disney Villains challenge: Maleficent.

Since she has such an incredibly iconic and recognizable design I wanted to break it down and build it back up with different elements.

If you like it please vote for me here (5 is good :P ) to get it made.

Tattoo summonstress

Here’s an original piece I did for the Aniway, a dutch anime and manga magazine. They have published an anime themed pocket diary. Check it out here: aniway agenda there’s loads of other cool art from talented dutch artists.

The theme was fantasy and I thought it would be cool to have this magic user that can summon elements, creatures and weapons from her tattoos. I didn’t want to do a run-of-the-mill elvish being, so I gave her some other features and more arabian-ish clothing.

Some of the most iconic designs in all of gaming come from the Street Fighter series. Although the characters in Street Fighter 1 weren’t as strong, almost all of them were redesigned in subsequent entries, with some  becoming iconic characters like Ryu and Sagat. The black sheep of the family is clearly the EX series. Although it spawned two sequels, it is mostly forgotten (or blocked from memory) by fans. To understand why the EX designs didn’t work, we should first define why the classics do.

Bleh! Didn’t make it. Really thought I could make it in this time. I didn’t make it in time for the Street fighter tribute, wasn’t happy with the rushjob that my darkstalker entry was so I went all out for the Megaman Tribute. Bleh Kinda Salty. Anyway that leaves me free to share the unadulterated version of Megaman disassembled. Also I’ve got Wallpaper links down below. Enjoy!

chewy in imaginefx xiao wei Li

WOOOT! I’m in ImagineFX #68! I was so busy I hadn’t even noticed it in there. It’s pretty old work but, man. -Hell Yeah!

ImagineFX is a magazine for digital fantasy and sci fi art. It’s a source of inspiration to me every month. I can recommend it to any artist with interest in game art, movie art, comics art, fantasy art, etc. It’s basically everything the art snobs aren’t calling art.

Aaaah sweet, my intuos 4 M size arrived today. Gave it a test run and it’s pure chocolate sex.
This is as good as it gets for me. I own or have owned everything from a A6 to A3 size regular tablets, have a cintiq 12WX and have tried the cintiq 21. But this size is perfect for me, and the high sensitivity of the 4 series is like riding a well maintained bike after years of a riding on one with a rusty chain. The surface and precision feel so sweet I can’t believe my intuos 2 was in such a bad shape after all those years of servitude.
I won’t even like the cintiqs as much till they invent an invisibility spray.
